Uralita acquires the ceramic tile business in Spain and Portugal of Imerys
 
      

Uralita announces that it has acquired the ceramic tile business in Spain and Portugal of Imerys, the French construction materials company. 

The acquired business includes two plants located in Almansa (Albacete, Spain) and Aveiro (Portugal), with its main brands Collado and Campos.  With this transaction, Uralita consolidates its leadership position in the Iberian construction materials market.  The acquired assets are of the latest technology, which will allow Uralita to increase its product portfolio with high quality roofing tiles.

Imerys´ roofing tile business in Spain and Portugal reached 17 million euros in 2006.
